The Core Group’s relationship with BIM Support Service Providers

The Government BIM strategy has been designed to encourage initiatives within the private sector to build expertise and capability.  A key area of this is in skills and standards development and the core group is encouraged to see that a number of providers have developed services to support the development of BIM competence in alignment with the needs of the public sector client.

These developments are in line with the strategy to ‘push’ capability development from the industry, as well as to create a pull from the government client.

The core group confirms that it does not sanction service providers.  Nor does the group review or approve the content of training material.  No service providers have been approved and no additional support has been provided other than the material made freely available via the task group website.
