BIM Task Group

Digital Plan of Work (DPoW)

by Jaimie Johnston

Jaimie Johnston and Rob Manning presented the Digital Plan of Work (DPoW) and the content of the ‘Labs’ space to a group representing a range of trade organisations, suppliers and contractors. The group also included a number of volunteers, from a diverse range of companies, who had expressed interest in moving the DPoW forward from the current ‘proof concept’ on the Task Group website into full production.

This group will be primarily looking to validate the Plain Language Questions and levels of detail in the later stages of projects (design, build & commission, handover& close out), and to validate the structure and content of the COBie Demand Matrix. In addition, they will assist in defining the full scope of the Demand Matrix, which is crucial to defining the data sets required and therefore allowing the use of objective testing in transactions.
